Book Talk Response

I really enjoyed this presentation and was amazed at how fast the time passed. Opening with the knot activity was a fun way to get everyone comfortable and engaged. The discussion regarding dress codes was good and brought up a lot of ideas or points that I hadn't really considered before. Having a mix of classmates who did and did not have uniforms in school was a really good thing and helped us all to get a comprehensive look at the issue. I loved that the girls got handouts of the powerpoint slide and the boys got little stress balls. Having the paper in front of me made me pay more attention and it really played into my visual learning style. The only thing that I didn't like was the part about mandatory sports. I feel that forcing all students to participate would be traumatizing for some people or make them resent physical activity. This isn't a problem with the presentation but more of a disagreement with the information that the book presented. Overall, I think you guys did a really great job and I can't think of anything major that you could have done better.
